BELUMCAVES:
Belum Caves, an eco-tourism project is situated 110kms from Kurnool and is the second largest natural cave with cave length of 2.5km in the Indian subcontinent discovered in the early 1980’s. Inside were spectacular chambers, stalagmite & stalactites passages, and fresh water galleries and siphons. The caves are illuminated by A.P.Tourism. They have been adjudged as a “Unique Eco-Tourism Project” by the Government of India. As one walks through the caves, it is a breath taking experience. A unique 40 feet height Dyanamudra Buddha Idol sat over a lotus appears.
